Who we are
KurTālāk is a student training company (SMU) run by Latvian secondary school students. Our goal is to help young people choose where and what to study. If you have questions about your data, write to us: kurtalak.smu@gmail.com.
What data we use
Only what you enter yourself in the test, a bug report or a review. In the test, that is your age, where you live, interests, school, exam results, grades, achievements and study preferences. We don't ask for your name, personal code or contact details.
Where your data is stored
Right now, your test answers are stored only in your browser, on your device. They are not sent to our servers and we can't see them. If this ever changes (for example, if we add sending results by email), we will update this policy first.
Why we use it
To work out which study programs might suit you and what your chances of getting in are. Your data is not sold and not used for advertising.
Bug reports
If you send a bug report, we store your text, the page address, language, browser name and screen size in our database (Supabase, servers in the European Union). We use them only to fix bugs and delete them once the bug is fixed.
Reviews
If you leave a review, we store your rating, text, name (if you give it), language and the page you left it on in our database (Supabase, servers in the European Union). We may publish some reviews on the website. If you want your review deleted, write to kurtalak.smu@gmail.com.
Visit statistics
To know how many people use KurTālāk, we count page visits with Vercel Web Analytics. It uses no cookies and doesn't identify you: we only see totals – how many visits each page had, from which country and on what kind of device.
Sensitive information
The question about support for studying (for example, physical accessibility) is optional. That answer is deleted as soon as your results have been shown.
How long data is kept
Until you press “Start over” or clear your browser's data.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to know what data about you is stored and to delete it. You can delete all your answers at any time with the “Start over” button.
